4 Phases of Healing — The anti inflammatory drug (steroid or a non-steroidal) may take 7-30 days to fully resolve painfully inflamed tissue.
Signs of pain? Hours really do matter to prevent nerve damage. Crate at once. Get to vet for diagnosis & medications.
Have no patience with pain. When meds are correctly prescribed, pain is in control in one hour. Stays in control right up to the next dose of meds.
