Surgery dogs can start water therapy for paralyzed legs as soon as the surgeon directs. Conservative dogs wait to complete weeks of rest when the disc has healed and it’s safe for PT.

PT – Surgery dog — at home therapy

Physical therapy can start when the surgeon directs. However, conservative dogs wait to complete weeks of disc healing rest before it’s safe for PT.
